Coming from Neo-Paganism, especially having been the High Priest of a Coven, before coming to Christ, a great many people 'expect' that if they have any sort of 'weird' experience or demonic attack to have 'all the answers'. However, the fact of the matter is that the Occult is a very broad and varied tapestry, and one that often has regional and cultural differences even within the same 'branch' eg the term 'Traditional Witch' has a completely different meaning to a UK Wiccan than to a US Wiccan. As such while I am able to advise on matters that I am familiar with I am often unable to personally help when it comes to other subjects or issues outside my experience. That said, I can often refer people to other ministries that may be able to assist them with their queries.
That is hardly a problem, but what I do find troubling is the number of Christians - even amongst those who have themselves come out of the Occult - have a rather skewed view of and/or little knowledge concerning the subject of Spiritual Warfare. ... more > >

Occultism has always involved three techniques for changing and creating reality: thinking, speaking, and visualizing. The first one is the most familiar, having been promoted in the world and the Church as "Positive Thinking" by Norman Vincent Peale and as "Possibility Thinking" by Robert Schulter. The second is mostly known among Charismatics. It is the "Positive Confession" (or Positive Speaking) of the Faith movement.

Many Christian college students have encountered criticisms of Christianity based on claims that early Christianity and the New Testament borrowed important beliefs and practices from a number of pagan mystery religions. Since these claims undermine such central Christian doctrines as Christ's death and resurrection, the charges are serious. But the evidence for such claims, when it even exists, often lies in sources several centuries older than the New Testament. It is worth noting that the Biblical passage in Revelation 17 describing the 'Whore of Babylon' (who many Christians believe represents the 'False Church' to be set up by the 'Anti-Christ' in the 'Last Days' before Christ's return) seems to be a vieled reference to a revival of the Mystery Schools and a resurgence of Goddess Worship of the type seen today. more > >
There is more to consider in this issue than is presented here, and the creator of this Site is ill-equipped in regard to either time or resources to delve further into this question. However, I hope, that by raising the question in the first place it will inspire others to investigate the issues involved in greater depth.
